HOT YOGA BASICS:
WHY SHOULD I PRACTICE HOT YOGA?
Practicing yoga in a heated studio provides several benefits! The heat allows practitioners to deepen their practice through greater flexibility, which is beneficial for those recovering from injuries and with tight muscles. The heat also helps your body purge toxins, improves circulation, and increases the intensity of your workout, helping you to burn more calories.
HOW HOT IS IT IN THE YOGA ROOM?
The Hot26 Yoga classes are heated to 105-110 degrees. The vinyasa and pilates classes are heated to 90-95 degrees. Humidity is set to 40%.
WHAT IF I GET TOO HOT?
Take a seat on your yoga mat if you're feeling too hot, overwhelmed or tired. Have a sip of water and take long, slow breaths to calm your body and mind. When you are feeling ready, you can join the class again.
DO YOU OFFER ANY NON-HEATED CLASSES?
Not at this time. Reach out if you would like to see any non-heated classes!
TAKING A CLASS:
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
The room is hot, so dress accordingly! Women typically wear shorts or leggings with a sports bra and/or a tank top. Men usually wear just shorts, though some also wear a t-shirt or tank top. For non-heated classes, dress in comfortable clothes so you can move freely.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING FOR CLASS?
You will definitely need water! Bring your own, buy a bottle or fill up your own water bottle at the studio. We do not currently have towels and mats available for rent, please bring your own. Some people like to bring a change of clothes if they plan to shower at the studio.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE CURRENT SCHEDULE?
The schedule is located HERE. We use MindBody software - it's very easy to use and see the schedule in real time. Many people like to plan their workouts in advance, and sign up ahead of time. You can also download the app HERE for your smartphone.
WHAT FACILITIES DO YOU HAVE ON SITE?
Our locker rooms are fully equipped with bathrooms, showers and cubbies for storing your belongings. The showers have shampoo, conditioner and soap. We have baggies to store your yoga clothes after class. We have a blowdryer in the women's bathroom.
WHAT IF I CAN'T DO SOME OF THE POSTURES?
Don't worry about it! This is your practice. Yoga is about you, not about what others are doing. Just do the best you can, and you will see the benefits of your practice. It's about progress, not perfection!

I LOVE YOGA, BUT IT IS A LITTLE EXPENSIVE FOR ME TO AFFORD ON A REGULAR BASIS, WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS?
We understand that yoga can be expensive, and yet, it's such an important part of our daily lives. So, we've created a variety of discount packages so that everyone can find a way to get their practice in. Seniors (65+), full time students, veterans and those in the civil services (police officers, fire fighters, teachers...) all receive a 10% discount on class packages - inquire within!
And if you want to get your yoga for FREE, join our Karma Yoga Team! This work/study program rewards each hour worked in the studio with a free yoga class. Minimum 4 hours per week. Email us if you're interested in any of the above.

WHAT KIND OF MASSAGES DO YOU OFFER?
*Swedish massage: Smooth, gliding and kneading strokes, coupled with firm but gentle pressure to promote overall circulation and reduce muscle tension. It is a classic massage that will ease stress and allow you to enter into calm state of relaxation.
*Deep tissue massage: Designed to remove severe tension from overuse and muscle imbalances, healing both muscles and connective tissue at the deepest layer. It helps to improve range of motion and foster a state of soft tissue healing by releasing painful knots and active trigger points.
*Signature Balance Massage: An integrated and fully customized bodywork approach utilizing Thai, Shiatsu and Sports Massage techniques. The Signature Balance Massage aims to improve joint range of motion and flexibility through the use of assisted stretching and compression. Think of it as the therapist doing yoga with you!

HOW DO I BOOK A MASSAGE?
Please contact us to set up your massage, or for more information. Please include the type of massage you are interested in, the day and time you would like a massage, and if you have a masseuse preference. We will get right back to you with appointment options. Consider booking a massage for right after class when your body is still warm. We have shower facilities on site and spa robes for you to change into.

CAN I HOST A SPECIAL EVENT IN YOUR STUDIO?
Yes! Our studio is perfect for a fun girls night out, couples yoga night, birthday party, sorority/fraternity group events, teens and tweens yoga sessions and much more! Please contact us to set up private session or for more information.
DO YOU OFFER TEACHER TRAINING?
We do not currently offer teacher training, but hope to offer it in the future.
DO YOU HAVE CLASSES FOR SPECIAL GROUPS (I.E. SENIORS, CHILDREN ETC...)
